That sound is the constant jackhammering that's been going on all morning.
It's quite a pleasant sound to wake up to let me tell you. It's almost as good as the whistler that keeps traffic moving at 7:30 in the fricken morning on the corner right outside my window. Being on the 6th floor just means that sound has a chance to bounce off the buildings and intensify by the time it gets to me.
I will be ever so happy when the freaking condos up the street are finally finished.

uh huh. yeah---no. a train goes away after a few minutes. jackhammering keeps going and going and going and going... well you get the idea.
