There's stuff in my drink

This is bubble tea. Also know as pearl tea. This drink was invented in Taichung Taiwan and is something Taiwan is famous for. (if you ever travel to Asia everything is famous for one reason or another.)
The most popular version is pearl milk tea which is quite tasty once you get past the idea of having tapioca balls in your drink.
If you are near a China town anywhere in the states, or around the world I'm sure, you can get this. I highly recommend it. I like to get the tea with half or no sugar because the tapioca balls have been cooked in sugar and basically caramelized so are quite sweet on their own.
Taiwan also likes their sweet things tooth-achingly sweet so you need to be careful.

The thing I am missing most today is kool-aid. It got really hot today and a pitcher of the cherry or black cherry sounded wonderful. I don't actually know if I can get it here. I have never actually looked. Guess it's something I'll have to do.

If you like tapioca it's quite delicious though. Get yourself to China town in Chicago and try one.
